Welcome to "Den Norske Skiskole" and Snowsports Norway

Den Norske Skiskole is the Norwegian representative for IVSI and ISIA. Den Norske Skiskole arrange courses and certifications of Norwegian skiinginstructors and skiingteachers.

The International Ski Instructors Association ISIA ist the world body for professional ski instructors. The ISIA was formed in 1959 and there are currently 36 member nations representing the very best ski instructors around the world. ISIA promotes collaboration in respect of Ski Technique, methodology, didactics and the question of safety ensuring the highest standards of professional practice.

ISIA is characterised by the ISIA trademark and can be used by Associations and their member ski schools and ski instructors exclusively

IVSI - is the international organisation for non professional ski instructors without ISIA certificates. There are currently 21 member nations and the latest nation who joined IVSI was Ireland. Finland was excluded from membership because the membership fee hasn`t been paid for the last 5 years.
